Indigenous Solidarity with Shanese is an in-depth workshop on how to better be in relationship with Indigenous peoples and their lands. Participants will unpack their own connection to colonization through thought provoking questions and group discussions. This interactive space will allow those who have joined an opportunity to think about ways they can play a role in reconciliation and how to implement real life tools to be in solidarity with Indigenous peoples.
This interactive workshop will support participants with on-your-own-time questions to unpack privilege, resource list and hands on practical action items. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and make any last minute remarks.
- The objective of this workshop is for participants to leave with a deeper understanding of Indigenous issues, individual privileges and biases and the knowledge on how to best support Indigenous communities within the context of Canada and globally.
Participation for this workshop is limited, so please register early to reserve your spot!
*Please note that due to the interactive nature of this workshop it will take place in English only.
